Sun-resistant PLA-HT by Multec customer’s testimonial/experience

“Dear Multec Team,
Congratulations on the highly successful product made by you, the high-temp PLA filament!
As the designer of a little multicopters, I was looking for an easily printable, temperature-resistant, tough-elastic material.
Since I only have a Dremel printer without a heated bed, I had a great problem with warping in the case of most of the materials.
Normal PLA deformed too quickly during the heat test conducted in a car behind the windshield, or it was too brittle when the copter crashed.
Also PETG did not deliver the desired results.
Your PLA passed all tests with flying colors.
I merely had to attach another layer of double-sided adhesive tape to the blue tape so that the print held well. (I don't have a heating plate of course)
The advantages:
-No deformation when exposed to sunlight in the car during transport of the copter
- Absolute dimensional accuracy (no more warping)
- Tough and elastic, absolutely suitable for crashes
- Pleasant color shade, super printing results
- The printer standard default settings were not changed....

Now. we will present the little copter, known in short as the "WiFree Copter”, at the Make Fair in Hanover, and make it available to the general public at open-diy-projects.com. Of course, I would give my warmest recommendations to anyone with regard to your very successful high-temp PLA.

In general, I currently print all my parts using your PLA-HT material. The main advantage lies in the easily detachable support material and good mechanical properties.

I primarily print out equipment parts, my various round plugs, freely formed plugs, problematic shapes, etc.

There is also the sector for assembly-room dummies. In my case, I print out complete exhaust manifolds for installation and to be used as manufacturing test runs.

Currently, I am running a trial to produce tools for sheet-metal forming using a special system and your material. The first trials have been promising. The material has a special level of elasticity and spring-back effect that makes that possible.

In conclusion, it must still be mentioned that the material adheres to my printing bed very well and does not result in any separation.

And last but not least, the neutral and professional printed image must be mentioned. Furthermore, it has a very pleasant feel to it.

The breakage behavior is also worth mentioning. It doesn't splinter off; it is for this reason that I once produced a motorcycle component (seat) and the TÜV technical inspection agency found nothing wrong with the material.
